Are these Mottled British Orpingtons? I just got my first two ( 8 weeks old) yesterday. This is my first venture into backyard chickens. Would appreciate any advice you get you care to share.

No I have a buff orp, blue cochin, buff brahma, and a golden laced 'cochin' (but I don't think it's a cochin)

The blue cochin is a pullet, the buff Orpington looks kinda pullety...but it might be a roo :hide I would wait a lil longer before you get rid of it though, as it might be a pullet with a larger comb (it happens sometimes) ;)

Thank you so much! Yeah definitely waiting cause she is the sweetest thing! Also, I have noticed that depending on the day (mainly the weather) the comb seems to be more red than when it's cooler out. I live in Texas so it has been pretty hot the last couple days! I guess time will tell!
Thanks again for the advice!

Caption could read... "What did you say?" Head wobble and all. Dang.

My Buff Orpington is 16 weekd and her comb gets redder when its hot and then gets really light when she cools off.
