Help!

Excellent! Gotta keep those girls safe. ;)

They can't help it, the hormones take over their little duck brains. I feel so bad for the females during breeding season as well. >.<

That could work actually... I will ask my dad when he gets in if he can make something.

It's really upsetting.. I don't understand how they can be so nasty with her. Im forevre chasing them off her with a stick like a mad woman!
It just is what it is. Just don't take it personal. They aren't doing it to be mean and they really can't help themselves. That is how they are programmed to be, dang hormones. Hopefully they will chill out and a couple more girls will take the edge off.

That's why I need a female for Wobbles so badly - so he'll stop attacking my husband in his quest to claim me all for himself. /sigh

It's put me off ever having ducks again!
As soon as my dad is off work, he is going to build a separate enclosure.
Until then, I will get two more females and chase the drake around with a stick. HA

Oh guys.. im in tears here.
We were going to get two more females today.
I just let the ducks out and Hattie can't walk!!! She's lifting one leg up.
Do you think it might be broken?
I hate to think what went on in there at night.. I cant stop crying.
I am taking her to the vets as soon as it's open.

:( :(:(

I have just forked out every last penny on a little coop for the females and I will put it in their enclosure.
I just hope she is okay.

Update:
I have just taken Hattie to the vets. They said her ankle is hot and swollen so they think she might have an infection.
They gave her antibiotics and anti inflammatory and shes having a little break away with the other female duck.

I'm sorry, but glad you got her to the vet. A swarm swim in some Epsom salt bath would help her too. Just make sure she doesn't drink the water as it is a laxative. I hope she is doing better today. Take your time introducing them the to new ones.
