HELP

Is he alert and eating/drinking? When roosters are kept together, only one can be the dominant male. He could be showing that he is subordinate by staying alone, not trying to mate. If he is lethargic he could be kept from food and water, or he may have been injured. Separate him to his own pen if he is being picked on, since he could get injured.

He just sits around not very active.

Offer him some electrolyte water (Gatorade or Pedialyte will substitute.) If he is lethardic, standing puffed up, and having diarrhea or blood in his droppings he could have coccidiosis, especially if he is young. Cocci is treated with Corid (amprollium) in the water. If he has not been wormed recently, you could worm him with Valbazen 1/4 ml orally, and repeat in 10 days. Offer him some scrambled or cooked egg, chopped tuna, or liver to see if he perks up. Probiotics or a little buttermilk may also help.
