HI there :-)
I'm new to having chickens and have 6 beautiful little silkie frizzles.

One of them has been quiet the last couple of days, and stays away from the others, although they all have been sleeping together.
This morning she came out for breakfast with aghasto, but didn't really have much, not even her marmite on toast that they all love!

When I;ve picked her up for cuddles, she's nestled in and been quite happy to stay with me, and fluttered down when shes had enough,so i know her wings are fine.

I've got her inside with me until she hopefully perks up.

Has anyone else had this happen to their chickens?

thanks

Chrissy

Hello and :welcome. I hope everything gets better with your cute little one. Try this site, https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/64/raising-backyard-chickens. It should give you some great information. If you need any other questions answered there are a number of knowledgeable chicken peeps on here that will be more than willing to help! Welcome to BYC!

Very cute bird! Have wormed your flock recently? Worms are slow to drag the bird down, slowly starving the bird to death. Worms are common and if there are no other symptoms, worms are something to consider. But I would give her a complete exam from beak to tail, looking for anything else that might be bothering her. Check for mites or lice as well.

You can also post this in our emergency section for more help...

I hope your sweet baby gets better soon.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! What an adorable chicken, sorry she is not feeling well. X3 on give her a good exam and post in the Emergencies forum about her. Is she old enough to lay eggs and do you know if she has been?

HI there,, sorry its taken me so long to reply..
I've been busy then couldn't log back in,

Sadly my little girl passed away the morning after I took her to the vet,,
she had a virus she just couldn't fight.

Thanks for your kind message :-)
The others are doing very well and growing fast! :-)
I often think of Marmite and wonder what she would look like now..
