sooooo i have been watching my ducks since they are getting to be about 8-10wks old to see if i can figure out if i have any drakes... i think one gray one is a drake but i'm not 100% sure! Drakes have "whispery" voices right? The females quack right???? And since these are mixed i dont know when or if they will get drake feather...

My girls are louder than my guineas. We can hear then in the house quacking which is kinda funny because after someone says something, they quack (coincidence) but it sounds like they are laughing at us. Maybe they really are laughing at us......

Having a busy day today-trying to get some stuff done before DH goes back to work and the weather is lovely!
REALLY worried about the Queen-we called the vet again, but I think she may have a tear duct infection.

Found another hard shell egg today from one of my Whites! Into the incubator it goes.
ady, the raspy voice is a drake-the drake feather will take a bit to come in, but I bet Mr. Raspy is a he!
Sonja, I know my ducks laugh at me-they have plenty of reason to-I end up on my backside in the mud enough to be their entertainment committee.

Have a great day folks-back later...

I've never had one but I'm sure I "may" this year. My ladies are just now old enough to really be laying good. Polish are not known to be broody but I have some Ee's that might. Just to let everyone know, I just set 13 of my Polish eggs and 7 EE's (from my flock, not purchased lol). I love my GLP
