Baytril...I think she has just scratched the absolute crud out of her eye and every time we put the medicine in, it makes it burn and itch(it has peroxide in it)...vicious circle! She needs an itty bitty cone of shame!

i took lunesta bc i had a hard time sleeping when my husband was deployed to afghanistan... get ready for some METAL MOUTH lol horrible side effect is a nasty metal taste in your mouth right before it kicks in...

Ive used it before. It does the same thing to me. I'm hoping we can work with this. They had me on Seroquel at night for insomnia but it made my insulin go up. I'va had all this non-sleeping stuff that I'm gonna put up with. That's why I called the dr today.

maybe you can get some neosporin with some pain killer in it??? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try... maybe put some neosporin on it and then put gauze on her eye and use some medical tape around her head to keep it in place just for a few hours to keep her from messing with it and let the medicine work for a bit. I referred to my school books, they use perscription antibiotic but thats what they did i might try to scan it and send you the picture... its for a macaw who scratched its eye...

Hi justme! That's exactly what she needs! DH could make one, but our concern is then she can't dunk her head in the water(vet said to make sure she could dunk her whole head).

She actually belongs to DH and he's about beside himself over her.

Thanks Duck

Maggie is doing just fine. She can run on that thing now. One morning I woke up and she was on my pillow, I'm not sure how she made it up on the bed

are you sure its not a sinus infection??? sometimes with a sinus issue it can cause the eye to swell too in birds. You could wash the eye with water and use some doxycycline which could help with both a sinus infection and a eye infection
