He does love the babies, as long as he's just sitting out in the yard with them climbing all over him(I take care of the messy part).
Calls are SO lazy. You have to do CRAZY special things to hatch them. Don't laugh, but I have a hatching coach(she's one of my good friends).

Haha that is so great! If I get my hands on some call eggs would you be my hatching coach? Lol I've helped several chickens out but not ducklings!

Yep, I sure will help you. It's so danged hard to explain-I would rather try to walk you through it AS your doing it.

Should I be worried that my goose hasn't laid any more eggs. I know it was early but she still spends a bit of time on the nest. I throw more hay in and mess it up and she fixes it. Silly goose digs a hole all the way down to the ground so there is now padding for the eggs

I told him that he was right. If I started playing with bears, I would make him build a place for them I said "They have to have a place to sleep in the winter" He said "I knew you were going to say that" It was funny

Mom said I cant order any ducklings/goslings from Holderreads but she said eggs from ebay and ducklings/goslings from the feed store were ok.

ya that's very nice to have someone like that around! I was thinking about it today when I was doing more research about the cute little buggers.
