Quick question for any of you that may have Cochins-mine are the CUTEST little things and my Buff baby(almost 3 months old) does this strange jumping thing. It's almost like he hops instead of walks sometimes. He's fine and he doesn't limp or anything, but in high grass, when I'm trying to catch him...he hops like a rabbit. Is this normal Cochin behavior or do I have a Cochin/rabbit cross?

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've been so absent! We've been replacing our front porch steps and hubby was working on my chicken area!! I'm going to post pictures of it shortly... I looked at my call eggs last night just to check air sacs and two look a little off.... I sure hope they develope but I'm nervous they won't!

They are very good flyers. I had to retrieve pullets from the top of the run many times. They thought that was a better place to sleep than in the coop

this is all we have from last night the front step took up a lot of time. well plus we were tilling and getting some flowers planted. Tonight we will get the post up and maybe some of the fencing. We will eventually have several pens on each side and then while i'm cleaning there cage they can run around or i can let certain ones out at induvidual times. lol And the calls will get there own cage

My parents have a old hot tub they want to get rid of so hubby may use that for a pool area for them not sure yet...
the area will be 100ft long by 25 ft wide

Silver, but I only have one hen left. The roo didn't like my son.
