I can't sleep here when its storming... In Ohio or when I was in the army no problem when it was storming but I'm too scared of tornadoes. Its suppose to storm tomorrow I storm proofed my brooder today and started my new duck pen but wasn't able to finish it. Boy I'm just so excited I hope his birds look ok or else I'm going to be bummed

but you'll examine them for me right east? Short beak, no wide legs, color and what else?

You'll be looking for nice orange bills and legs, nice wide head, thick neck, feather quality(nice, fluffy feathers), make sure to find out how old they are and if they're laying.
There is more slack with BQs-a couple of BQs can surely throw you some SQs for sure, though.

Ok i wrote that all down... i would really like to get into the calls and stick with them and stick with my dels (bc they are good eggs and meat birds and i love there color) and the Marans bc there eggs are so gorgeous... I am so in love with the ducks i have now! My sister and I were big duck freaks when we were young. we used to steal

baby ducklings from this mallard and play with them all day and feed them and take care of them and then give them back... i know better now but we never hurt any and they grew up just fine! lol

32 years. I'm firmly planted here, now.

I lived here for 12 years when i was a little girl and then moved to ohio. I loved ohio and the four beautiful seasons. but the snow got pretty old after a few months lol. then i joined the army did all that all over the place and then moved back to texas when we were done with army. I love it here. I love the people and the weather and just the overall lifestyle...

That's pretty much where I am now, ady.
The ducks have just kind of overtaken my life.

Don't get me wrong, I love my chickens and I do take really good care of them, but these Calls...they're just amazing little critters.

I was actually born and raised right on the Kentucky/Indiana border and spent a lot of time in Ohio-my grandparents lived there.

I lived in cincinnati in a town called west chester. I lived in Kentucky/Tennessee with the 101st screaming eagles while in the army. BEAUTIFUL area...

Just think...maybe next fall we'll be showing against each other here in Texas!
I bet you get some really nice babies out of those birds. I can't wait to see pictures.
I have a couple of friends that we just talk ducks all of the time, getting new colors, what we'll be doing next...it's so much fun.

I know right where you were, too.
My remaining family is now RIGHT THERE. My nieces husband actually works on the base.

I go up there a few times a year to visit and it really is lovely.
And my grandparent lived in Cincinnati-not a fan of that city, too much.
