Day 24... They are rockin and Rollin!

Can you see the aircells if you shine a light down on them?

I haven't looked yet tonight... Should I check them? I don't here ant peeping so I assume no internal pups yet

I would wait another day. I never heard any peeping from my last batch until I picked 1 up and held it to my ear and that was only 1 of them. The rest didn;t make any noise until after I opened them.

Ok I just wanna make sure I do everything right. Some people say one thing others say something else! I'm just so excited!

The way hatching has been this year, ady-this is what I would do-wait at least until you see a bill poking at that internal membrane(tomorrow hopefully) and if you see it trying to pip-crack a small hole in the shell where the air cell is(mark the air cell when you candle) and a teeny hole in the membrane hopefully where the bill is-put it back in the incubator.

I don't think there is 1 right way for all haches or even each egg within a hatch. Alot depends on the genetics and thespecific temp and humidity during incubation. Just use your instincts and I am sure you will do just fine

Yeah I was thinking of doing that very thing tomorrow night when I check them.... I have tiny drill bits does that work better?

Justme is dead on accurate. Hatching Calls this year has been TOUGH for everyone I've talked to. Hopefully, you'll have a great hatch, though!

This is what I did. They had already broken into the air cell and since I didn't hear peeping or just weak peeping I opened the eggs. It was late on day 25, almost day 26 when I went in.

I like them for making teeny holes in the shell and they don't make giant cracks in the shell.
Oh, and ady, my vet said the results from A&M should be here Wednesday and he would call me as soon as he got them. He asked about the duckies when I called and invited them to the party. He's a nice guy.
