EXACTLY how many???? Not without thinking about it and using my fingers and toes.

Actually I have 34 chickens and 23 ducks(I just had to count them real quick).

OK, glad it's not just me. I count the groups every night but I don't add them all up and I don't have that many birds right now. Let's see

2 ducks
2 geese
6 silkie pullets
6 silkie roos
1 polish dude
Mr. chicken nuggets
5 big girls
2 marans

So 25, that's not bad. I was way over 50 last fall

Mine are on wire now or there would be no way they could stay in the house. They seem to be doing fine on it. The drake likes to perch on the brick that I have in there to keep them from knocking thier water over and the hen sprawls out in her little nest box like a cat, lol

Different, justme, you have your ducks IN THE HOUSE. Not outside on raised wire.
You can actually keep them on teeny wire-just not the big stuff-hurts those little webbed feet.

Yes, I've only had them on the wire for brooding and hospital. I've never done it outside.

Have fun with your mom tomorrow, ady.
Do what I did to my MIL once. She was telling me how what I needed to do, how I needed to treat her son, etc. I told her maybe HER SON needed to find someone who was willing to put up with BOTH of them...I'm evil!

That's what I think, too, duck! We don't put our ducks on wire at all.

Me and my sister might go back in 4-H but all the cages there for poultry is wire

You should! 4-H is great!

I think I figured out that my goofy duck just isn't using her oil. I sat there and watched them preen for about 15 minutes after their bath and she didn't rub her bill on the gland once.
