It is so hot, dry and windy that I am taking advantage of it to wash winter blankets, etc., hang them out and put them suckers away. Of course, what I'm saving in energy on the dryer, I'm more than making up for with the darn AC running.

We did that also in 3rd grade! It was really fun watching them change into butterflies!

We did that last weekend East all blankets and towels were washed.

I distinctly remember how pretty the chrysalis was. Made an impression on me, I suppose.
Yeah, ady, too bad it's not some beautiful monarch or a luna moth.

I am gonna have some really really mad chickens. I found another bloody poop in the yard today and I have a hen that is sulled up, sick looking. Tonight when they roost, I am going to lock every chicken I have in the coop for the next 5 days so they have NO OUTSIDE water access. I am tired of cocci dang it. Last time I let them run the yard while I was treating. Not this time. No more Mrs. Nicegal. When it is over, I'm gonna bleach the entire coop and hopefully stop the issue. I dont know if bleach will the the protazoa that causes cocci but I intend on finding out

I did sell 7 chicks a while ago. I am now out of polish babies. I did inform them of the cocci and I even gave them some meds and told them how to mix it.
