What is eclipsing? My adult drake is changing color and his feathers are everywhere the last 2 days since the sun came out and it is in the 80's. All of his flight feathers are gone and he looks like a different duck

The muddlings are moulting too. I wish my hen would hurry up and moult, she looke terrible.

Interesting, I learned something new today

Although I think I read about it before but didn't pay any attention

He isn't looking anything like a snowy hen though. His head is going black instead of green and he is getting more of the chocolate brown color all over. I was starting to think someone was fighting out there with the feathers everywhere but no one looked like they were beat up. I will try to get a picture of him tomorrow. I hope the poor guy doesn't need to fly for a while, lol

OK, the integration was a train wreck, but on the flip side, the banding was a piece of cake.

All of the birds that were already in the community pen got put into penalty boxes and the NEW ducks are running around free. That won't cause hard feelings, now will it?
