after an almost snowless winter, we finally got our share. about eleven inches. followed by a light steady rain.
but the temps are above 40F so it is melting already..
If the sun would come out it would really go fast..
Winter slop fest. Hopefully it doesn't get cold and ice. I hate ice
 
Cappy, that sounds like a lot of hard work.. doesn't your tractor have a front loader ?
today I started a batch of sauerkraut. 8 heads yielded about 22 pounds.. after St Patrick's day cabbage goes on sale.. $ .75/pound
for the first time, I am making it in a 5 gallon food grade pail. a friend of mine said he always uses a 5 gallon pail..

I don't have a tractor. Once upon a time I had a good tiller, but sold it. When we left TN. So now I mix stuff in a wheel barrow.
