Here is the solar cage so far! One end left to do.View attachment 1191020
Four pieces of glass. The other end will have a pop hole and plywood. No sun from that direction due to roof of run.Why mesh on the bottom, thought you were going to bury poop as heat source?
Can't quite tell, is there 3 or 4 panes of glass?
The bottom is hardware cloth.Art, looks like glass at left, right, top
and rear, to me. I imagine there will be one at the front, soon.
I can't tell what is on bottom..
@R2elk had his buried in the ground and covered with sand.I was thinking i need to provide oxygen and get rid of ammonia so i am looking for an exhaust pipe, pvc of some type.
Yes i read that, but i don't like providing water in an open topped bucket. Who knows what falls in there? Plus we have so many trees with roots everywhere that it is hard to dig a big hole. I fell on my knees on the wood floor, and they hurt.@R2elk had his buried in the ground and covered with sand.
I look forward to observing your set up and following it's operation.Yes i read that, but i don't like providing water in an open topped bucket. Who knows what falls in there? I figure it will be easier to keep the manure under observation, turning and adding more when it is in a bin right under the waterer. It is just a back up for cloudy days. I will change things up if i need to.
