It is not in the run yet, still in development. I have 11 Speckled Sussex that are so Happy to get out of the coop they run towards me flapping their wings. Today i took them a bowl of left over stew. When i came back, they had licked the bowl dry! I did not know chickens did that!
The other half of the coop also has 11 chickens, Buff Laced Polish
 
I got the rest of the components for my solar heater so i need to collect poo for the bin. Tomorrow the plan is to finish the heater! And i have some pallets to demolish.

Just need to put hinges and latch on, then drill a hole for the compost thermometer! Then we will move it to the run and assemble with poo and water in there!
 
I still need to add green weeds to the compost bin, but the birds get to start using the waterer tomorrow in the solar water heater! They were curious today and checking out the outside.

They are pretty curious, and like to drink when they come out in the morning, even though they also have water in the coop. The pop door is the same as the one to the coop so it should not seem weird to them.

I got outside too late to get decent light for taking pictures.
I will try again tomorrow when it is lighter outside.

I played with the jointer some today.
The blades are set a little too high.
I get a good inch of snipe at the end of the cut.
but the machine works 100% otherwise.

it got above 55 F today. will be gradually cooling off for the next few days. but still holding in the mid 30"s
I can live with that..
