we finally broke into the 60F today.
our snow is almost all gone. only to be replaced by mud . i guess that's the price we pay for nicer weather..

somehow I managed to misplace a whole set of forstner bits. I need a 1 1/8" one.
tomorrow I will stop at Menard's and pick one up.

looking forward to doing things outside without having to put on a jacket or hat.

Yup, I know.. that is why I have so many duplicate tools..

I have been commissioned by my youngest daughter to build a rustic open backed corner shelf unit. commission = no pay..

I think the easiest way is to build the unit and then veneer the exposed surfaces with rustic wood..

after setting up two jointers, rebuilding a table sander and adjusting my table saw;
this project goes against my grain . LOL

without backing on it, I have to figure a neat way to keep it from wobbling ..

Can someone tell me where all the wd-40 and duct tape goes? I swear I can never find these two things when I need it! I always end up buying more.

I have to learn to throw the wd40 can away as soon as it is empty.
there are not many things as irritating than after looking for a can of WD, to finally find one and it is empty.

Get a small storage bin just for that stuff and label it. Make a spot for it on a convenient shelf. Problem solved!

That would be me! Today i almost got poked in the face with the shovel handle because it was sticking out of the wheel barrow and i was sitting on a stool. Got up and almost speared myself! Shovels are dangerous, and i am a klutz!

I have been digging in the dirt most of the day.

You can see on the other side of the fence how packed down the dirt is. Digging it up and adding sand and manure is the best way i have found to improve clay soil. Planted 2 grape vines, morning glories and peas here. Cranberry beans in the original garden planted today. We are expecting several days of rain.
