I woke up at 1AM and again at 4.
so here I am.
around 4PM yesterday the sky lightened up.
I figured it was the beginning of the end of the snow, so I bundled up and went out and plowed. I was wrong. in a short time it started snowing hard again. but I finished plowing as long as I was at it.
where I did not plow the first time, the snow was knee deep.
all in all, as of the six o'clock news, we got 20.2" of snow and still more until it stops on Monday.. it broke a 108 year old record..
I got the tractor stuck once. had to get the p up truck 4WD and pull me out.

Wow, sorry for the bad weather! Hope spring comes your way soon.

the snow was knee deep.
Had freezing rain and slush, about an inch, but it all melted at 40F but afternoon. Snowing here now but won't amount to much...1-3".
I have a buddy near GB....the drifts they have are are crazy.

I would rather have snow than rain.
we don't have much drifting right here on our property. we are surrounded by trees.
and I have a nice pine windbreak all along the west side of the property.
Yeah, G B. wind off of the lake will do nice drifts.
my nephew lives just a few hundred feet from the west water's edge. just one house and a road between him and the lake.

The roof got finished today! Hubby tried to get up there to put screws in the roof, but it was too slippery. I just took off my shoes and had no issues except it was hard on my bad knees. 20180417_163146.jpg 20180417_171335.jpg

I quit doing roofs years before I retired.
walking on that angle killed my knees.
I can remember crawling on my hands and knees to get to the ladder at the end of the day.. no future in that ,,,

I had an inquiry about the pup today.
after the second round of emails, I determined that it was a scammer.
I get a lot of those from C. List, but this one was from FarmBestBuys.com.
Art, I think this website is based in Mich.
A good place otherwise. they can't help who answers ads.as always, seller beware

water is dripping off the roofs. so icicles are forming. the wind is blowing so the icicles are hanging at a 60 degree angle..
the snow has slid off of a couple of the steeper roofs, but the house will need a warmer day ..

The lean-to needs a bit of paint, but the rest is done! :wee
I still have dents in my knee from those nobby screws!
Started another bunny run today, pieces for the frames are cut and painted. More tomorrow.

I ended up going to the doctor today, which soaks up your time like a sponge. Stopped and got Vidalia onion sets and ended up planting them. I started digging in a new area. Set the shovel down to get something and fell over it, on the hard packed clay....poor knees got it again. I need to order knee pads!
