good morning,
at 11:50 PM we had a terrific t-storm slide through here.
wind, rain and small hail..
this morning there was one pine tree from the wind break lying across my truck. and a couple of tops out of the wind break pines on the driveway.
about 2 inches of water in the wheelbarrow.
no damage to the truck or anything else .
I had to close the window because water was spraying through the screen and all the way across the bed..
I should have know it was coming because Frankie pushed the bedroom door open and would not leave. She knows she is not allowed in any of the bedrooms.
she could hear the thunder ten minutes before I heard anything. that is Frankie in my avatar picture..
after the second time she pushed into the bedroom, I let her stay until the storm was over.. some guard dog, eh ? LOL
had a guy come on Monday and today to pick up anything made out of metal. I got rid of two full to the brim pickup loads of junk. lawn mower, air compressor, oil burner, another air compressor, ice fishing shelter, rototiller, copper tubing, bucket of nuts and bolts and rusty nails.,and odds and ends of whatever.. and the yard doesn't even look like anything is missing.
He even hauled the dead water heater out of the basement..

He donates whatever is good to his church, so we sent along a super nice wheel chair that belonged to Annie's sister .

Glad there wasn't more damage

We had a heck of a storm too....lots of thunder and 5/8" of rain in about 40 minutes.
Garage flooded and all the van windows were wide open. SMH.

I will have to leave the windows down... we haven't had any rain to speak of since the 4th of July

I did manage to get the place pretty much cleaned up today before hubby showed up early, back from vacation. Cleaning always takes a lot out of me. I did feed and water all of the animals and gathered eggs.
But nothing was done on my coop, sadly.

sorry Art, I should have called you and let you know it was on the way.
it hit here just about 11:50PM
moving around 25 mph to the S E.
must have hit you around 4 AM ?
our next door neighbor had a couple of trees go down also..
watching our Packers getting beat by Tenn.
we are playing mostly new guys. I don't recognize most of their names.

Hit here about 8:30am and was over by 9:30...same trajectory, not sure if it was the same system, but I'd bet it was.
Garage flooding was taken care of pretty quickly with shop vac,
had just slaughtered cockerels the day before-thank the gods storm didn't come in the middle of that process.
Van will just now rust from the inside too.
Chicken run flooded(drained pretty quickly) but not underneath the coop,
so they had a dry place for those who didn't want to wade.

our closest tsc is in a town about 40 miles away. I have never been in a tsc. we have Menard's, Home Depot and Fleet & Farm..
I go into Walmart maybe once every five years or so..
Yep Art, same storm.. It was a long narrow one. didn't last too long here either.. but did dump a lot of rain..
........jiminwisc......
yep right now the closest is 40 miles away too.. and it's in Indiana..I never go near it to visit it... I used to go to one in Kankakee, but they closed it when Farm and fleet expanded the store next to TSC
