Helpful hints for building coops

Today i got the last nest box installed, just needs the hinges put on the lid. I also worked on putting hardware cloth over the openings in the eaves. I did finish stapling down the first row of welded wire on the second run. Cut pieces of wood to attach the wire to. And painted them. Took some other wood into the workshop so it will dry out and i can use it.

good morning,
supposed to be cooler today and from now on.
about 68F for the high. the rain is supposed to stay to the south of us..
It doesn't sound like Annie has any plans for me today, so maybe I can get the rototiller started.
Yesterday was our 55th anniversary. seems like a lot more..
we bummed all day. ate all of our meals in restaurants.. DD Barby joined us for supper at Culvers..
I am doing a lot of web searching about transplanting elderberries.. I think I have a plan, now..
I learned that to separate the tiny berries from the stems, put them into the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. then just shake the stem over a wide bowl and the berries should just fall off..
can't wait to try that one..

couldn't get the rototiller started. so off I went to Fleet & Farm for a spark plug. also bought a can of starter fluid and a can of carb cleaner.
Put the new plug in and she started on the first pull. didn't need the cans of stuff. but it would have been handy to have if needed.. it won't go to waste..
got both rows for the elderberries tilled real good.. I will run the furrower through later.
I hope I will have a window of time between first hard frost and freeze up to get the elderberries transplanted.
snakes give me the creeps. I don't mind them being around as long as I know where they are.. .

good morning, some scary stuff going on in Madison, Wi. somebody went into an office building and started shooting.. we just got a call from our son's girl friend.. it was his office building.. He called her from a restaurant. Said he heard the shooting and ran like heII.. He is OK
we are waiting for another call .

very scary.. I guess it can happen anywhere nowadays
 
anywhere, where he works is at a soft ware company..
there were four people wounded, none fatally .
Our son was ten feet from the shooter when it started.. there was a doorway ten feet away, too.
He ran for the door and got out of the building.
He called us again. He was walking home..
