yeah Art, you, me and millions of other people..
I am thinking that I should have just ONE of each tool. that way I would be more careful of where I put them..
this is sort of why I am making that designated tool box for the impact wrench.
this morning the ground is all white again
it is supposed to get into the 50F's today.
I am going to get my power post auger out and see how much I have to do to it to make it run.. Probably will have to take the carburetor off and clean it..

Spring is in full swing here.

I decided that varmints would just climb up it and over the fence so i am making tomato supports instead.
My tomatoes grow in condominiums! I grow 30 plants in 3 20-foot rows. I set 4 steel fence stakes (with u clips) 5' apart along one side of the row with the clips facing inward. I run 20' of 3' welded wire fencing along the row, hooking the edge of the fencing into a clip about 18" off the ground. Then I come back with 4 more fence posts, setting them 3' from first row of posts and hooking the welded wire fencing into these posts. The fencing runs horizontally the length of the row above the tomato plants. A second layer is added above the first, about 4' off the ground. The tomatoes grow up through the fencing and their fruits are up off the ground, easy to pick!

Having a hard time picturing this, have any pictures?

I love arbors, but this would be my luck.

We had this beautiful pond, and in its 4th year it was beyond anything I had hoped for, lush underwater plants, lilies growing up from the bottom, pots on a low shelf with several types of water plants, the leaves trembling in the flow from the stream, rescued goldfish...then the raccoons found the pond.

3:3o AM , can't sleep. didn't take a nap either.
it was snowing. wet packing stuff.
we were supposed to get up to 10 inches, but they kept lowering the amount to 2" to 4" ...
they sprayed salt water all over most of the highways prior to the snow. so driving wasn't bad..
I am getting my dirt auger ready for planting. I got the carburetor cleaned. tested for spark. lost the spring assembly for the throttle. now I am going to have to manufacture a throttle control of some kind
I have an old ice auger that I maybe will use if I don't get this one going.
Cappy, just put a {Do Not Climb} sign on the arbor..

Raccoons can wreak havoc on a pond, BTDT!

Been thinking of you Jim, looks pretty gnarly over there, hang in there!
Most that crap went north of us here, just some rain last night and raging winds today with more rain overnite tonite.

Got chicks poppin in the bator!

our (2 to 4) turned out to be (2 plus 4)
and then some.. looks like at least 8" out there.
supposed to rain the rest of today. that should knock down the snow a bit.
usually I don't mind plowing, but this time I am going to resist.. I am protesting ..
the snow is so wet and heavy, the strong wind is not moving a flake..
