windy as all get out here today.
DD invited us for breakfast. we passed , going to do it tomorrow.
I made blintzes for breakfast.
didn't feel like opening a can of cherries, so we used maple syrup instead.. yummy.
it turns out that I need a new rim for Ollie.
probably will have one by Monday..
solved the problem of water leaking into the basement.. did a little trenching and a few sand bags.. after Ollie is done ailing, I will do a permanent fix..
Ordered a large load of granite for the driveway.. can't have it delivered until the load limits are off.. probably about 3 weeks into April..
Annie wants to remove some boxes from under the basement stairs. We have no idea what is in them. I am all for not even looking. if we haven't needed what is in them for over ten years, it can't be important..
......jiminwisc......
But, if it is no good then get rid of it and use the space for something else.

that is the plan. except I don't want to put anything else in it's place..
some of the stuff I put in the trash for collection already.. old books that we will never read again..
there are about 30 puzzles high and dry that we will never put together again. all the pieces are there..
a long coat rack with winter coats that we don't need. orange hunting outfits and sorrel boot liners.. all these things will be donated to wherever they will take them.
we have a really deluxe wheelchair that belonged to Annie's sister until she died.
a couple of years I took 4 generic wheel chairs to Neighbor's Place. they didn't want to accept them..?? It was just at closing time..
I told the guy , fine, I will just take them back home and tear them apart for the wheels.. he didn't think that was a good idea and decided to accept them..

cool today, but no wind so it didn't feel too bad to be outside.
I went to FF to buy some tool nipples for the air hose. with their new management, you cannot buy just what you need. You have to buy the "package".
a plug,
one nipple with female threads,(useless)
2 nipples with male threads. (what I wanted in the first place)
then there is a slight design change. the new nipples do not fit any of my old plugs.
so I ended up using the new plug anyway.
However the old nipples do fit the new plug..
happy ending, I have nipples on the new impact driver and on the air nozzle.
I bought 4 tool boxes. I have one designated just for air fittings and tools.
when I get time I am going to make a socket holder that will fit the new tool box.
I will have a box for 1/2"drive and one for 3/8" drive..
tomorrow the tractor tire should be fixed.
then I can get the 3 point tool bar mounted and get the discs mounted for making raised beds in the garden.
......

Did some cutting and drilling and tapping here at the hack-n-slash machine shop today,
to upgrade the adjustable legs on my pseudo heat plate.
Now have two racks ready to go...ran short of screws, tho think it would work OK anyway.

good morning,
I am tweaking my puter , trying to get pictures to send again.
I sent one to myself and it came thru OK.
this is just a random picture of the underside of my chicken plucker. shows the chain and sprocket drive I designed for it..
this is just a test. let me know if you receive it..
thanks, .....jiminwisc.......

I can see it

this afternoon I went out to take a ride on Ollie. but I discovered that 38F feels like 38F when there is no sun shining.
so I located my bucket of 1/2" sockets for sorting later this week . I bought 4 tool boxes and have dedicated one for those sockets and the impact driver and the ratchet driver handle.. I will make another box like that for the 3/8" sockets, too..

I have a plethora of fasteners spread all over everywhere, I sure wish there was an easy way to have a place for each kind...I can see now why folks have 'buckets of bolts' lying around(OhWait...that's me)..also have a half dozen racks of drawers, still not enough.
