Helpful hints for building coops

Art, I am a gas guy only because my daughter dumped about 6 machines on me.
the tiny tiller, a weeder that spins like a food mixer. and four or five weed wackers. one electric one, but it has no batteries.
as the years roll by, the batteries keep getting better.
I have probably 9 battery powered drills.
none of them useful because the batteries are no good and to buy new batteries, (if you can find them) costs more than a new set complete with drill..
I have not even casually looked at any battery wackers. I couldn't say what is best.
I guess if it were me, I would go with the highest Voltage I could find..
always nice to have an extra battery .
it is best to run the battery down, under normal use before recharging it.. do not tape the trigger down under no-load to discharge it..
I have a friend who has a battery one. I will ask her what kind it is..
today is clean out some throw away stuff from in the garage..
cloudy right now, but they promise us the sun later on. 40F right now.
tomorrow cold and very possibly snow..

Exactly! BTDT.
The newer lithium batteries are so much better, hold a charge longer, and recharge much faster. I've had my Makita driver for, geez, at least 5 years and it's still going strong and I love it....they no longer make that model, and the battery tech has improved(?) or at least changed once again, so if it dies I'll have to buy a whole new set up.

Am going to borrow one, maybe two, to test drive.
Time will tell, may pick your brain for some feedback again later.

what kind of eggs are those ?
It rained a little this morning, it is done, now.
I know it is done because the dog went outside.
I am giving up on the mini tiller for now. It seems like it is not passing gas through the carburetor. I have no repair manual, so I am not sure if I am putting the gaskets in properly or not..
going on the web to see if there is such a manual for these carbs..
no green here, yet..

they are fun to watch when they hatch.

Art, my friend said that they have Black & Decker wackers. they opted for the cadmium batteries.
they paid $50.oo for the wacker, but it was a few years ago..
she also has 3 gas units in the barn. none of them working..
she is confined to a wheel chair, and says that the battery one is light and easy to use..
I ordered a service and parts manual for the cubcadet just now.
trying to collect on a warranty is a PITA..
the place that is designated for warranty here in Wausau is a place that I would rather shoot myself in the foot rather than go there..

Art, I talked to my friend up in Eagle River today.
He has a Ryobi 40W . less that $100.oo ,
he didn't remember exactly how much $$$
It started raining about noon. supposed to keep it up until mid day tomorrow. expecting up to 3".
In the mean time I spent a lot of time on youtube learning as much as I can about my mower deck and idler pulleys.
I think I have it all figured out. If I understand it correctly, I will not have to buy a new idler pulley or any special washers or brackets.
I ordered a service/parts manual this morning. just in case I need it for the future.

Man, the prices and packages are somewhat confounding(to me).
Many of the 'under $100' don't include the battery and charger.
And lots of different battery prices depending on the 'AH' rating.
Test drove a 57w Ego yesterday....trying out a B&D today.
Gonna be hard to choose, might just close my eyes and click before I get trigger shy.

Yeah Art, sticker shock. I am the same way. it takes me a long time to make up my mind to buy a lot of things..
I can't believe they would sell one without a battery ???
what are you supposed to do with it?

I found my battery wacker Monday; outside on the junk pile ..
still raining and 40F.

ETA: I went on Amazon to look at trimmers.
I was never a fan of B&D.. the other brand they listed, I never heard of..
I looked up Makita. Not impressed there either. battery not included..
I looked up Ryobi. $159.oo 40V
the 18V batteries fit tools back to 1999..
the Ryobi impressed me.
they have them at Home Depot.
My friend in Eagle RIver has the 40V with the double string.
