I considered a battery trimmer. but I need more power for the tree like weeds growing around here.
I have burdock growing so close to fences and coops that I cannot get with the lawn mower.
Annie tries pulling them out, but some of them are too much for her.
I have a saw blade on an old trimmer here.
I might see if I can mount it onto the new trimmer if I need to in the future.
Or I can spring for $50.oo and buy the brush cutter attachment for the Cub..
I don't mind mixing gas. I have to do it for the chain saw, so I usually have some sitting around. It should be used up anyhow. so having more than one device that uses it helps in that respect..

Yep, worked for me when I used chain saw and trimmer frequently maintaining trails years ago...not so much(at all) anymore, so went with battery.

if they take the same gas/oil ratio
a couple of decades ago I had a snow blower, weed eater and chainsaw and they all had a different ratio .. 3 cans that would go bad... I now have a plow truck and the last 2 are battery.

nowadays you can get oil that covers all the mixtures so one fits all.
back in the day, I used to mix one mixture,
I would mix up a batch high on the oil side.
the motors that needed less oil just smoked a lot more.. had to clean the spark plug once in awhile, too..
the high volume tanks got their proper mixture. like the outboard motor ..

Cappy, if you get too many more buildings there, You are going to have to elect a mayor.
I got the cement mixer out of the lean to.
beat on the shaft and pulled on the cooling fan and freed up the motor. then I oiled it with gear and sprocket oil. I hope that works.
I hope I don't have to take the motor apart sometime in the future..
