Feasting you have been.
I would gain 12# a week :lau

who said I'm not ?
when Annie was at rehab, I ate only one meal late in the afternoon..
Kinda hard to do that when she insists on breakfast, lunch and supper..
I usually take only small portions and never seconds..
I don't think the fires are hyped.
What I don't understand is why some people start more fires on purpose or by just being stupid..
they do it in Calif., too.

we have had people come visit while we were gone. or just stop in to say hi, and we were gone.
once a nephew stopped in, left a note, said: Hi,
was here, you were not. I took a bottle of your rhubarb wine.
another time we were gone for a few days.
came home to a note. friends from Minn said, we were here . stayed overnight. catch you on our next trip..
a week ago there was a gift package of fruit and cheese left here. no note..????
we are supposed to be getting 7" to 12" this weekend. I don't know if we will be blessed with the 1 to 4 inches of freezing rain/ice , first..?
I gave the extra loaf of bread to daughters SO..
.....jiminwisc.......

There are certainly coons enough in the area so that is a good possibility.

Congratulations!

We are planning the raised beds plantings (8 8'x4' beds) and ordering seed, so exciting! Getting my plans done for the coop and a local builders supply will get us any chicks we choose from the Hoover Hatchery catalog. Going to the local Habitat for Humanity tomorrow to see what they have in the way of doors and small windows for the coop. Exciting times!
We would like pictures please!

I am feeling achey again, so I will be up early to try and get an appointment.
My tank is looking good. Needs some fish now.

The tank looks beautiful. A well set up tank looks so nice even with no fish at all. Especially when lit up in a dark room, like bright window to underwater.

DP thought she was coming down with something a week ago (fever and aches at bedtime) then when she got up the next morning was fine. We'll hope the same for you, Cap.

I miss seeing snow but not that ice.

Thanks! Still have to have the coop and run made Fort Knoxy though. Something (or someone keeps coming into the yard at night and attacks one of our hummingbird feeders. Just one of them for some reason.

And how are you doing down there Aussie? The news reports make it sound pretty bad but sometimes they exaggerate.

Thanks for asking Boots.

It's the worst I've ever seen it and we are not even 1/2 way through fire season. New Zealand has been getting the smoke from the East Coast fires for a couple of weeks now and my hubby tells me that the smoke reached Argentina this morning. So yeah, not good. :(

We had a cool change today and have had some sporadic rain with more predicted during the coming week so that has helped a little, but there are fires all over the country at the moment. It is unprecedented in size and intensity. Send us any rain you can spare!
