I got the lawn mowed. Alas, I can't give my chickens the sweepings because of the Avian Flu threat.

One more day of work and then VACATION!

I sold some hatching eggs. Dz turkey and 5 dz chicken

Molpet, what kind of turkeys do you have ? I used to have Royal Palms. They weren't the best for meat, but they were pretty. Even the hens displayed their tails once in awhile.

We're going to visit Pittsburgh, where we grew up.

Our adult son and teenager will take care of the house and animals so we don't have any worries about that.

Hmmm, sold 4 flats of eggs to one buyer, 8 flats and a few more to another buyer, candled some duck eggs nearing hatch, read a book, started another, worked on improvements to rabbit run 1 of 3, and slept really poorly.

So, nope. The things that needed doing mostly didn't get done.

We're going to visit Pittsburgh, where we grew up.

Our adult son and teenager will take care of the house and animals so we don't have any worries about that.

Going home to your roots, how nice.
Once we took a trip and had the neighbor boy take care of the chickens. He got confused and filled one of the feeders with kitty litter. lol
No harm done since the chickens had free range to over ten acres. I'm sure the insects took a beating that week.

My turkeys are mixed. Calicos and red bronze and semi colored nari.

well, the things you got done you will not have to do later. So your weekend wasn't a complete loss.
I wish I had some muscovy ducks. They seemed to be good foragers for bugs. Guineas, too.
There are no swaps that I know of anymore around here. I should give Marlene a call and see if she has any guineas.
