Helpful hints for building coops

Up at five today. cuppa in hand.
wondering what to do today. prolly sort through the junk in the lean to some more.
last night we canned six more quarts of tomatoes. DD gives us the tomatoes.
we can six quarts and give her one.
we are using reusable lids for the first time. they seal very well, so far.

we are having a pleasant dose of fall weather for a few days. sure makes working outside a lot nicer.
We are almost finished with the lean to cleaning project. can walk the whold 4o feet from end to end. even can park the tractor in there.
after today, we are going to go on to a different project. just for change of pace.
keep on keeping on.

Gonna be busy for a while. DH has signed us both up for stained glass classes.

He's done it before, but I couldn't while I was pregnant or nursing babies.

He wants us to work up a home business selling stained glass via eBay, Etsy, etc. Should be interesting.

I have been cleaning my room for 6 days. Not all day of course, i get tired. Pretty much done, but need to remove baseboards and rip up the carpet.

Wow, Cappy, when you clean , you clean.
Is it necessary to remove the baseboard in order to get the carpet out? Usually there is a gap under the baseboard and the carpet is just tucked underneath. should be a nailing strip just in front of the baseboard.

Today I moved my fence, did the weedwhacking, and put the fence back. I've been making some hard culling decisions, but I need to reduce numbers so as to hatch more of my beautiful Australorps.

Not sure about that. Only baseboard on 2 sides, the guys who built it were half assed builders. I am going to let hubby tackle it unless he asks for help.
The reason it took me so long to clean was my hoarder gene. I got it from both sides of the family. Way too many clothes. Plus books and 5 incubators. Really no place to put it either, serious lack of storage here.

Good plan, let hubby do it.
If you do take the baseboard off, when you put it back on, put spacers under it and raise it 3/8" or so . then you can tuck the carpet under it.
