Helpful hints for building coops

Hired a buddy to come over today and spend 3 hours doing yard chores.
He got a ton done, mostly ridding the place of saplings, and I am grateful.
I got a few little tasks done while he was here with his 100' extension cord.

I spent the day shopping. I got super deals on summer work clothes for myself at KMart, $1.50 each for shorts and t shirts! I got great oops paint, and clear roofing panels were $11.00 for a 12' section! I bought more than i planned on because they were so cheap. The two metal roofing panels i bought first will be used for rabbit cages instead.
The contractor was here today, he got more boards up for the goat shed.
I got nothing at all done on my hoop coop, but i hope to make up for it tomorrow. Husband was out there early clearing more dead pine logs from the nearby area and he connected guinea lane up to the roads he has running along the river. He is a worker!

Lowes. Not sure of the width. Maybe i will go measure. They are 26" wide. I was getting killer bargains all day. I left KMart with almost $70 worth of stuff for $5.04!!!

I just ordered a metal Carport for my new car and sons. I got just the roof and was going to get those plastic roofing panels from HD or Lowes for the sides. $11 would be AWESOME! I wonder if they are on sale or something.

Yes, they are usually $22 something and most of the fasteners etc. are reduced as well. But it may be just that store.

well I need to check out mine just to make sure I need about 12 of the 12' long ones if they are only about 2 feet wide.

are the clear roofing panels smooth or wavy ?
I would like to use something clear for the ridge cap on the shed.

we don't have a Lowe's near us. just Home Depot and Menard's.

HD has them too.
Too bad you are not closer, I have some used shorter ones that i got for free that are about right for use as a ridge of a shed.

We got our polycarbonate roofing panels from Home Depot---brand name Suntuf. We ended up ordering them online (free delivery to the store) and got ridge caps too. Lots of color choices, including clear. We got Solar Grey.
The panels are wavy. We bought all the recommended stuff for installation. Special screws, closure strips.
Happy with it, probably going to do the whole damn roof come Spring. Too much going on right now so we did the most important part and have to put off anything else.
