One of my hens is throwing out the feed form the PVC pipe like no tomorrow ! She has managed to empty a 4 foot tall 3" pipe this week !

I think I will use Duct tape to cover the bottom section, that may hold it off for a bit.
it is either that or make them eat all that is now mixed in to the shavings !

Aart that is an awesome idea for side bracing too !!

Duct tape...SMH...temporary at best, it'll let go just when you don't want it to,
an won't come off when you do want it too.
Have found that the last couple rolls I've bought are not near as 'sticky' as in the past,
seems to me it's more decorative than functional any more.

Annie hates to ask me to do anything, usually, so she starts doing something where I can see her doing it.. she has little building skills. it isn't long before I take over and finish her project.

If you want some tape that will hold,
try Gorilla Tape.. Annie bought a roll.
IDK what it cost, probably expensive.
but it does hold..

No to Gorilla tape. I tried it before, on the inside of the house and it did not last near as long as the old Silver duct tape did.
Neither does their glue. But then I am sure I used it NOT as intended

Annoyed with the contractor today. Annoyed with husband for letting them borrow my ladder when i need it. Annoyed that i can't tell the guy what i think of him. Do you get the idea i am annoyed? And i woke up with energy and optimism.
I did paint the door with oil base paint in a nice mocha brown that i got for $5. Yesterday. ​

I figured out why i am so p'd off, it is a side effect of this new drug. I don't like feeling like this at all. Any way , i wanted to show how i attach perches so here are the pictures.

I use a screw through the plywood and into the branch. Then a staple to keep it from spinning with weight on it.
The plywood keeps coons from reaching birds near the sides if the tarps are off.

Put another staple at the top of the board attached to the panel. This will make it a bit more secure... or a bunch more. Sometimes the panels will degrade and not hold up on one wire. I always put too many screws/staples then I need. It is a PITA when I want to change things but at least I know it is not going anywhere

I hate side effects of meds sorry you feel that way. I had to go on the 'pill' about 6 years ago. 3 months later I gained 25# Sorry NOTHING is worth that extra weight and I STILL have 10 more pounds to go to get it off ( 5 years later !)

Tigger, i was once put on a medication used to help cancer patients gain weight. Not for that reason, but for some other effect of the drug. Makes you want to eat 24/7. I was really glad to be off that one.
Good idea about the second staple.
