Helpful hints for building coops

good balmy morning,
supposed to get up to 30F today and tomorrow

I am going to the bone crusher this morning,
then to the VA for Labs..

I am as far as I can go with the sharpening jig. I have to get to a hdwe store and get a very small turnbuckle.

Frankie has not had her pups yet. her final due date is tomorrow.
right now she is outside, sleeping on the deck.

IDK anything about the concrete block system.

many years ago , I found a chicken frozen inside one of the holes in a concrete block.
I pulled her out , she lost a few feathers, but after some water and feed, she was OK again.

Jim i think you are full of beans. The concrete block water heater, you put a bulb in a socket in half of a concrete block and cover with a ceramic tile. Then put the waterer on top. Reviews vary from doesn't work to works great.
 
They never did show up today. Lucky for them i have a doctors appt tomorrow because i am so ready to ream them a new one. October 17th they started my goat shed. Still not done!
Did a lot of digging today and i am tired. Filled the back of the Mule and used the mix for the two planters which i filled with tulips and crocuses. I finished painting the inside of the goat shed except the 2x4s which i want to make another color.
Cleaned out part of the coop and put it in the compost. Dug up 3 stumps. Got tired of tripping on them.
 
I think I didn't make myself clear.
I didn't say I had a block heater, It was just a concrete block I had in the coop for some other reason. and there was a chicken inside one of the holes. and her feathers were frozen to the cement. IDK how long she was in there, but she was quite boney when I pulled her out..

hi all,
just checking in . it is quiet on all the forums I check into. must be the weather?

this week must be annual check up week.
Monday , Bone crusher,
Tuesday , VA Labs,
Wednesday , pacemaker calibration.
Wednesday , installed the buried dog
wire fence..
Today Frankie looks like she is ready to do the puppy thing.
I am getting nothing done with any projects.
Our snow hasn't started yet. they downsized from 10 inches to 3 inches.
we will see,
