Great surprise today, my bunny actually had 7 babies, not 5!

they shouldn't cook at 100F .
Now, use just one thermometer, in the mean time, calibrate the rest of them,.
you can use an "off temp" thermometer if you put it next to a good one. when the good one reads 99.5F take note of what the "off" one reads. from now on that reading will be 99.5F just for that thermometer.

we ran into a snag for shipping the puppy tomorrow. I went to the airport , just to make sure we were all good to go. the gal wants a vet to add a note of "acclimation" with the health certificate.. all it means is that the puppy has acclimated to temps down to 10F.
I am thinking, how the h3II would the vet know this ?? all she can do is ask me, and I will tell her , yes. the pups have been in an unheated chicken coop for a month.
as it stands, the temps are supposed to be above 35F at the beginning of the flight, and get warmer as they get closer to Florida..
I hope somebody at Delta has an ounce of common sense..
have fun with your incubating.

I think the temp went up to 105 for a while but not positive, nor for how long. Any way, i have a thermometer calibrated to a medical thermometer, i just add 1°. Sure hope they are viable.
Today i started a cold frame...

Got all the parts cut and painted except for the frame for the top glass.
Hope to assemble tomorrow, in the garden.

we up nort won't even talk about garden for a couple more months.
I am seriously considering not having a garden this year..after 50 years , I just want to know how it feels..
maybe if I get the gardening urge, I might play with slips and cuttings..
elderberries and maybe grapes and apple grafting..

Not having a garden stinks. I missed in FL, but the soil is just sand there and i had too many other issues to deal with. So happy where i am now.

I was going to work on the cold frame today but i called the lumber place and my order was ready so i picked it up and went shopping in South Boston. Got some great deals!
