have the scaffold in place.

this is the side that will go toward the window. the notches in the bottom board will fit over the cedar batts on the siding.
I did not use any plywood. I edge glued all the oak boards to make the panel..
I did not want the panel to be attached to any part of the window, so it is wide enough to clear the casing..
I built it far enough out so that I can leave the AC in place year round . I can shut the window and I am ready for winter.. no more wrapping the AC with insulation and plastic..

Over the last couple of weeks I managed to read this whole thread. It inspired me to sign up basically. Now I've designed a coop of my own and I've used a lot of the advice I read in this thread.

Thanks for the inspiration people. :ya

Here's a sketch of what my coop and run will be. Its a little blurry, and in metric. Hit me with any questions or advice.

I'm fascinated by the black varieties of chickens, however I'm more interested in seeing what I can get from my old flock of mutts, and what traits I can breed for. I'm happy to experiment, chicken lady style.

Here's my current two hens

a few things yet to do finish installing the hardware cloth and soon finish up the storage area. But so far it looks like it will work..... I was very glad I installed the top before putting the turkeys in the first thing they did was try to fly out. Lol

I spent part of this afternoon clearing where my chicken coop is going to go. There was an old coop there where all the wood was rotten and the run wasn't secure, so I've been pulling it down for my new creation.

It's winter here. My fingers are freezing and hate me lol. Waiting for my husband to get home so he can chop some wood and I can light the fire.

Glad winter is done here, but wanting more spring before summer hits.
