I am slowly building a quail duplex, now the turkey coop is mostly done, i can concentrate on finishing it. I cut the pieces for the doors tonight and stapled on more wire. 20180715_231149.jpg
Half of the cage is not in the photo, it is very close to the workshop, under my pop up canopy. Took the photo tonight.

today is starting out to be just beautiful here in Wisconsin.. lower temps and humidity.
I got a call from the fixit shop. the truck needs a new starter, will be done today.
I guess $300.oo it will be $311.oo.
I haven't decided what to do today.
first I am going to finish my Dunkin Donut cuppa coffee..
If the skeeters aren't too bad, I might try weeding out the grape vines and maybe even drive some stakes and tie up the vines..
have to give the main chicken a good cleaning, pressure wash the walls and remove the roosts. I want to move my wood lathe and a jointer into there..
eventually I am going to make a router table and that will go in there , too..

I saw actual rain today! In Danville when i was shopping, i hit 2 downpours. Sadly, none of it made it to our house.
Got a call from the lumber mill, my order was ready. So i cut the shopping trip short and went to pick up the lumber. I already had 10 and 12 foot lengths of roofing on the back so i had to take those off before i loaded the wood. Usually there is a guy there to load but by the time a guy showed up i had it all loaded. Got a real double dose of sun because the sun was hitting the roofing and bouncing back on me. So now i have lumber for another coop!:wee

I just got home with the truck with the new starter. total $430.oo just to hear the motor start up again..
Around here, we don't have any saw mills anymore.. we have to get our lumber from Menard's or Fleet&Farm or Homedepo...
I don't even know of any portable saw mills anymore.. the two small private saw mills I used to go to don't saw anymore either.. the one guy is over 80 years old and doesn't want to mess with it anymore.
One of the guys died a couple of years ago and the third guy is past retirement age..

Maybe you could get a saw mill from one of them? What happened to a $300 estimate? Ouch.
