Roof is on, no falling off the ladder or the roof. The welded wire roof for the first run is on, but still needs the 2 pieces lashed together. And i need to put some wood around that tree to tack the wire to.
The hardware cloth is on the front. I need to build 3 more nest boxes. Tomorrow i hope to work on the coop divider.

good morning,
I passed my heart stress test last night.
I watched the packer/bears game.
the packers always make it a cliff hangar..

today I am going to peel and core apples for a pie
last night I adjusted and sharpened the apple peeler/corer/slicer machine.
Annie will make the crust. I should learn how to do that, too. I have done a few in the past, but hers always seem to turn out better than mine..

ETA: I sliced up about 9 cups of apples. Annie has the crust ready to go into the oven, soon it will smell wonderful in the house.
I mowed under the apple and pine trees. no grass, just broad leaved plants that look like rhubarb.. very juicy and wet when pulverized with the mower..
some day I will cut all of those low hanging pine branches off.

I don't think it matters how close one is to the coast. all of those coastal states will be rained on real hard way inland..
today I got a glimmer of ambition. I trimmed the two plum trees severely .. took of any low branches that brushed my head when I rode under with the lawn mower. now I have a couple of piles of brush to haul to the burn pile. then I mowed about a third of the grass.
that's about it..
