we got a dusting last night. just enough to cover the ground and make the roads slippery.
Art, they are never wrong if it is bad news.

32F ? I wish.. in the 20's for a high today..
I don't care.. yesterday I found the missing part for the carb. today I am going to install it before it slips away again..
I am surely glad that I don't have any chickens to take care of again this winter..

walkin' in a winter wonderland..
4" of the slippery white sht..
we went out for a fish fry with DD#1 last night.
the snow moved in while we were eating. we drove home in near white out conditions. 17F
30mph all the way..
I am not going to plow yet. we will drive on it to build up a good layer on top of the granite.

I did not finish up the scooter yesterday as I had hoped. however, I did make good headway. I have all the vacuum circuits figured out. only I have to take the manifold off to fix a broken fitting.
have to bring it into the house to warm it up so the lock tite will set..
as long as I am taking the carb off AGAIN,
I decided to change all the spring type hose clamps to good screw clamps.

Still trying to get ready for winter. I strung Xmas lights inside the new chicken coop, LEDs. Looks nice and i can see what i am doing in there.
Painting and cutting plywood to block wind in the hutches. As always, waiting for paint to dry.

I have the carb off for the last time I hope.
I had to take it to O'Reily's to see if they could help me get one of the tubing nipples to stay in.
they fixed me up with a tube of JB Super Weld.
(super glue by another name) anyway, it works.
I just finished gluing a couple of nuts to a metal piece. it is not instant set, except the glue I got on my fingers.. It should wear off in a few days..

Threaded or press fit into carb body?
Will it ever come out again?
Buddy of mine used to say "screw it, just glue it".

Lighting on timer for laying...or just your pleasure?
I love seeing the coop lights on when I get up early in the morning during the Dark Season.

Yesterday was sunny and 40, pretty nice and warm in the coop out of the wind.
Got the last winter coop chore done, some shop vac-ing and cardboard breeze blockers up. Water heater installed a couple days ago. We're all set!
