good morning,
it is BC, I should never do anything BC.
the Coffee is almost ready, then I will be good to go..
when I drilled the screw heads out of the carb float bowl, I chewed up the casting around the hole a bit on two of them.
there are 4m screws that go through those holes and thread into the carb body.
so I took two 4m nuts and topped off the holes and filled in under them with this super glue. I will drill out the threads of the nuts and should end up with two nice built up bosses with flat tops ..
after I have my coffee.
this scooter carb sure is taking a long time to fix. I have another scooter in the lean to that needs a carb cleaning, too. but now I know what I am doing and it should go faster than the first one is..
Gabby, those birds are going to be really let down when you take the lights down..I hope you have some Easter decorations to replace them with..
last night Frankie wanted to go outside. I gave her a half hour and then opened the patio door. she just laid there in the snow and wouldn't come back in. at 5 AM she was in,
I guess Randy let her in, unless she has learned to open doors ..

Threaded or press fit into carb body?
Will it ever come out again?
Buddy of mine used to say "screw it, just glue it".

Lighting on timer for laying...or just your pleasure?
I love seeing the coop lights on when I get up early in the morning during the Dark Season.

Yesterday was sunny and 40, pretty nice and warm in the coop out of the wind.
Got the last winter coop chore done, some shop vac-ing and cardboard breeze blockers up. Water heater installed a couple days ago. We're all set!
Light is because i like to see what i am doing over there. Only one pullet over there is laying. Light really helps when i need to do things after dark. I often go there to check for eggs after the sun goes down.

I have a couple of them from Harbor Freight .
they often have coupons for free items if you buy something.. I never tried one on.
come to think of it, one would be handy when working on a motor..
...jiminwisc....
Absolutely!!
I started using one while camping years ago.....now I use it for all kinds of tasks where I need to see better or where the house lights just won't reach.

Definitely need one that tilts, especially if you wear multi-focal lensed glasses...
....it can be hard to get the light pointed in the same spot that the lenses focus:gig.

I have a hat with lights... works great and I don't forget it.
Great for general lighting, but maybe not for close tasks. Good enough to see lice on chickenbutts?
