yeah, me too, for the past two winters I set up shop on the kitchen table.Annie didn't care for that much, but she understands. so this year I set up shop in the new lean to. It was working out just fine, until we started plowing snow.
I didn't have any mechanical projects planned, so I didn't give the thought of trapping my tools when we started plowing.
good thing I don't have any chickens in the coop , because it is blocked off with the snow bank, too..
I don't think the apple tree will blossom before the last frost this year.

DD brought her snow thrower here today.
it was nice enough outside to work on it.
sunny and 30F , no wind.
I took the carburetor apart and gave it a good cleaning. put it together and back on.
the thing started right up and kept on running. I ran it around a little to test it.
kept running, I guess it is fixed..
Barby was very happy. we are suppose to get about 6 inches by next Monday..starting tomorrow..

nope, that pile is too big for a one stage snow thrower.
the machine is a toro ccr 24"
one speed, wide open.
more of a power shovel than a snow thrower.

we are getting what feels like freezing drizzle, right now. hope it changes to snow real soon.
now they are talking about 6" to 12" of snow
then dropping into the teens for high temps.

I just spent an hour outside. I figured as long as it is above freezing for the first time in many weeks, I would see if I could thaw out the transmission on the tractor. I got it partially thawed, but not enough to make it go.
too much Ice in the tranny..
all I got for my trouble was wet jeans from the knees down.. that's how deep the snow is..
