Trying to keep an eye on these two, and the 2 cats is practically full time!

One month from retirement now, all the painting on the house we are selling done (I may never paint again), new house will be delivered on Friday, storage unit is full to the brim, and so much more still to be done. We missed the Rose Parade this year, just not enough time. If I could just jump ahead in time 2 months...

I worked on painting my packing crate this morning, tonight it is pouring rain! I did get a great deal on hardware cloth today. I missed one leg of the triple crown, I usually watch all 3 . Way busy.

Can't wait to see the completed coop, your projects are always awesome!

And your new baby is so sweet!
Thanks, I appreciate it! It's just going to be a broody coop , or for a few bantams.

Painted bottom of crate.
20190613_171706.jpg left side is crate in original condition. On the right you see the one I am working on. I have cut out one side and a hole for a door. I also removed the hardware and the top of the crate. I will take more pictures asap. It was lucky I was able to get 2 crates in my truck. They only cost me $5 each.

My progress so far, I got a hole cut for a window, and a big spot for a door to make clean out easier. I plan to make it tall enough so I can get in there easily.
We moved it away from the garage, because from now on I will be adding parts to it and it will get heavier. Neither one of us wants to lift too much weight!

How high are the walls now? I don't see anything to gauge it by. I love the utilization.

It reminds me of the free wood I drive past on the way to and from work. We're finalizing house prep so I can't drag any of it home and it just kills me.

DP is spending the weekend down at the new place. They delivered the house today and someone had to be there to watch the magic of them getting the halves into place. I guess it was quite the show, the whole neighborhood turned out to watch.

The walls are about 2 feet high at the moment. I didn't get to work on it since we moved it, since I had to convert one of the quail cages into a brooder. My chicks from Murray McMurrays really needed to get out of my bathroom, because I have polish chicks hatching and needed room for them.
Then hubby decided that the area in front of the workshop really needed to be cleaned up. And it has been very hot and humid. Not to mention, my pup needs lots of attention! But I will make time to get back to building soon.

good morning,
no rain for two days. gave me time to relube and tune up the rototiller.
I got the tomatoes tilled, tilled up some ground along the green house to plant pole beans, and I tilled up the rest of the garden down by the road. I planted 31 hills of buttercup squash. that is how many seeds I had. put them 30 inches apart in rows 60 inches apart. If they grow really good, I will snip the ends so they don't crawl all over the place.
I did not till the corn. it is only 1 1/2" tall and there are no weeds yet..
