or partially filled with feed with the top of the feed sloped ?
I mowed lawn for about an hour after I weeded the 3 new grape vines..maybe they will grow better without the weed competition..
thinking a shot of fish emulsion wouldn't hurt.
the weatherman said today is going to be the perfect summer day. so go do something outside..
today I have help, so I am thinking my outside project will be to install the window AC frame.

Today and tomorrow are supposed to be mild, before another 7 days of excessive(IMO) heat.
Have a list of stuff, first off is mounting a fan for the coop. Thought I had a piece of plywood for that, not so much, tho there is an old piece of OSB at the back of a stack of other stuff....might be that's what I was thinking of using. It's been there for 20 years, might as well use it, eh? Cleared part of the garage, from other projects/laziness so I can function in there. Now just have to move that stack to get OSB sheet. I really don't feel like doing anything but enjoying the cool.

supposed to be down to 80's today and less humid when the front comes through.... right now it's 71 and humid

I can do that.
Looking forward to seeing it....hope you feel better soon.

Well, I got at it and got 'er done.
That OSB is heavy, gonna need a ledger board of sorts to hold it up in place for attachment....later this morning, was too tired to mess with that at end of day yesterday.

All wood and hardware was already here, that's always satisfying, and fan is probably 30+ years old and moves much more air than the thinner ones available today.
Tho it took me a couple hours of sifting thru piles and buckets to find the lag screws to attach to wall.

2x2's added to back to accommodate fan housing depth.
Brackets set so fan is about 3/4" shy of framing in back.

Damn, that went so smoothly that I'm a little worried!
(glances over shoulder looking for Murphy)

Ledger board worked a treat, had to reposition it once, and think I'll just leave it up for extra support and perfect positioning next summers install.

It ain't pretty, but the efficiency upgrade is beautiful!

well done, Art..
I have a box fan that I hang behind my wood stove in the shop to circulate the warm air.
I didn't get the AC in yesterday. my helper worked the night before so he had to get some sleep because he worked again last night. The AC is for in his bedroom, so it is no skin off my nose if it doesn't get installed
My brother hired someone to put the window units in for him a couple of years ago. naturally, he felt like helping.. hurt some vertibrae doing it.. that was the
reason he hired someone, to avoid himself from getting hurt . "here's your sign".
