Today I went to Lynchburg and bought a kids play house to use as a banty coop.
I did get the flooring down in the rehab coop yesterday, and half the hardware cloth is up. I wish I had energy to do something tonight!
What the rest of the day wasn't enough?! Tho you could post some pics.

good morning,
I went to HomeDepot to buy a weed trimmer.
they didn't have the one I wanted .
to put it mildly, HD needs to hire someone with people skills. I left the store angry on my last three visits there.
I have to go back again. I ordered online to have it dropped off at the store. Not looking forward to that, but there was no way around it.
Had a bit of a storm on Sunday night. lasted only about 15 minutes. no damage, Sent it to Art, figured he could use the rain.
1 inch in 15 minutes..

What trimmer did you buy?

We had a good rain here yesterday, but it was gentle.

you're welcome Art. I took the bite out of the storm before I sent it to you.. we has over 40mph winds with it. and hail. no damage, tho.
the trimmer I bought is:
Cub Cadet 4 cycle string trimmer
model 470 from Home Depot.
I checked with a Cub Cadet dealer in a town about 40 miles away. He did not carry them in stock either. He said that he did not like the starting procedure of it..
From what I gathered from Youtube , it is about the same as my B&S on my rototiller
I am good with that.
the secret is to not use the shut off switch.
I turn off the fuel line and let it run out of gas. it takes about 45 to 60 seconds to do so
but I never have a problem restarting it again, even after letting it sit all winter. Old gas and all..
Cappy, you do realize that there are some unhappy kids who don't have a play house any more, right ?.:hit

The kids grew out of the play house and quit using it, so now it will be the chickens' turn.

Wow! Most beautiful linoleum on the market!

to put it mildly, HD needs to hire someone with people skills. I left the store angry on my last three visits there.

Or even someone with lumberyard, garden center, or home center skills! We avoid HD like the plague. Bad lumber, bad service, and (how do they manage this part?) poor selection. And don't get me started about the plants.

a lot of years ago when HD first came to town, it was a nice place to shop. they even offered me a job on the floor .. I almost took it, but then I got a couple of nice jobs to build so I stayed with my contracting.
I can't believe that nobody offered to order the trimmer for me. The jerk said that I should go and order it online. It amazes me how everybody assumes that everybody has a computer. Even the local evening news tells us to go online for details of a news story.. If I wanted to do that, why have a TV?
our county fair started today. We are not going. too much walking for us old foggies .
sure going to miss those elephant ears and the dairy booth's really good ice cream.
and the Sweet Adelines cream puffs..
and deep fried cheese curds.
.....jiminwisc....

The online thing is a PITA, I like to touch stuff before I buy it.
But that's the way the world is going.
As to sales people, it's always been like that, there's good ones and bad ones.
It's getting worse as brick and mortar sales work is declining with the online scenario. The populations skills set is changing.
