good morning,
last night just before midnight I was on the computer. I was looking at the screen when I noticed a gray spot on the wall . I couldn't figure out what made that spot. went back to the puter. and it caught my eye again. I thought the spot moved. I stared at it for a moment and then went back to putering. then it looked like the spot moved again.
I couldn't figure out what was projecting a spot onto the wall. this time the spot moved while I was looking at it. and then it started moving up and back and forth on the wall.
it had legs and arms.. turned out to be a tree frog. I got GS Kalib to come down to see it. It crawled almost up to the ceiling. and then half way back down.
suddenly it jumped onto the TV. and then down to the floor behind the trunk.
I assume it is still in this room..

Probably hitched a ride on you to get in. I just get mice coming in the fall

Molpet, you might be right about the hitchhiking frog. My puter room is in the basement. we never open the basement windows. the doors upstairs are left open quite often, though.
I hope it finds it's way back outside. IDK what they eat. I would hate for it to starve.

I had a toad that lived in the unfinished basement all winter. I seen him on and off from early fall and late spring I threw the fatty out. He found bugs enough to get fat on

We planted our first shrub at the new place, a smoke bush. The ground here is mostly sand with a little soil and a lot of rocks so the plantings that aren't in pots will have some fish heads & guts put in the bottom of the hole and soil amendment added to the fill. Set up the bird bath and hummingbird feeder, now we just have to wait for them to be found by the customers.

Got started on my "last " coop today. Gathered up some rough 2x8's and the external kennel panels. Got the "foundation " laid doesnt look bad

the plan is a 8x12 lean to style to match my other 2 coops. It will be divided inside into 3 separate spaces each with it's own fully enclosed run. This backs up to my chicken compound so 2 fences are done.

It will likely dry up without moisture. They eat bugs.

I think when you put chickens into a new coop they temporarily become a little confused, and fighting is the farthest thing from their little minds.
I am waiting for a ride to the VA eye clinic in Wisc Rapids. about 50 miles away.
My driver's license is due in Sept and I need an eye test. If I bring the Dr's report, I don't have to take the DMV's test.. we re-new driver's license every 8 years. I think this will be my last time. Pretty sure I will be too blind for the next one.
