From CS Lewis:
“Meanwhile,' said Mr Tumnus, 'it is winter in Narnia, and has been for ever so long, and we shall both catch cold if we stand here talking in the snow. Daughter of Eve from the far land of Spare Oom where eternal summer reigns around the bright city of War Drobe, how would it be if you came and had tea with me?”

In the movie, it was pronounced as spar oom, and since that was the first time I heard anyone say it out loud, that's what sticks in my brain.

Thaaaaats right!!......thru the wardrobe in the spare room.
My favorite image is the lamp in the snow when they first go thru....from the old versions of the book. Wish I had kept that set, paperbacks printed in the 70's I think.

Recipe please! We love that stuff. Going to get some sauerkraut going before too long too. Got to wonder why the purple stuff gets sweet n soured and the white stuff gets sauerkrauted?

One of the toilets in our old house was up on a raised pedestal, no idea how much it cost the original owners to do that.

We wish, there's a hangup, the scope they sent down the sewer line was really bad awful. We're hoping it won't run us over 12,000 to fix. :he

We love him too, and since we aren't supposed to have a rooster where we are, he will have to be our stand-in roo.

We got him from Ace Hardware. He was the last one and their display. Original price was $165, but we got him for $75 on clearance.

As a reward for planting all day, we had all you can eat pork ribs at the lodge. Sadly, at this stage that is 3 ribs. I am not the woman I once was...
