Three dead chickens in one coop today, super upset. Must have gotten in through the dog run even though I thought I had all the gaps covered. Some of my best Tolbunts. :rant:he:mad::smack

Halloween comes early?
Orange Cat then within 5-10 minutes Black Cat drinking out of the pondsai out back.
Black Cat appears to be staying,
hung around was lounging on the filter cover
and was seen out front a few nights ago.

Heard 'crunchy' footsteps, slow steady small, outside my bedroom window early this morn. Not the first time in the last few weeks.....kinda creeped me out, not being sure what animal it was.....am betting now it's that black cat. Wonder if it's living here or just visiting? Not too found of cats, especially males pissing on stuff.

Am going to replace one of the circulating pumps on boiler, main heating run and it's getting chilly. Been watching a few vids, seems pretty simple, hope I can pull it off.
Gonna start Monday, in case I need to call in the pros to bail me out.

Chilly here this morning but lovely and sunny. Opened my first jar of home canned trout yesterday and made trout salad sandwiches. No one died so I must have done it right. I'll have to get more canning jars and thaw out all the frozen trout now that I know I can do it. I've been warned that if I decide to can tuna to do it outside because the smell tends to get into any fabrics.

The guys are here making the corrections and repairs to the shed/garage today so once that's done we'll need to empty the storage unit before the end of the month we can avoid the $90 charge. DP wants to call it my She-Shed since my name is Cheryl like the lady in the insurance commercial. Since we already have a garden tool shed I might agree.

Our realtor swears we are in the home stretch. The sewer repair should be done in the middle of the month and the closing is supposed to be right after that. And once I don't have to drive back to the old place in Portland anymore, I have a buyer lined up for my car.
