Sprinklings of snow and 31°F this morning, and it ain't supposed to get much warmer.
Got the heated waterer wrapped with fresh metallic bubble wrap,
and cover(even chickens like to pop bubble wrap) and installed in coop.
Check!

only in the teens for temp this morning. High is supposed to get up to 26F.
I am waiting to see what the boss has planned for today. If I am free, I just might light a fire in the stove in the shop and try to do some cleaning.
I really don't have much fire wood. but I do have two dried pine trees to cut up, and one plum tree.
In the mean time I can burn wood scraps for a day or two.

I got the rotting window sill in the coop shed covered with sheet metal.
Not the best 'fix' ...but it's covered for winter.
Was glad to get it done, after all that thinking about 'how' it took about 1/2 hour to get 'er done-now I can cleat the windows closed. Round runged ladder thrashed my bum foot/ankle/knee tho......gimped around the rest of the day and got the hoses drained and stored and a few other little things cleared up.

Ooh, hope you are not too bruised and beat up. Ladders don't like me either. We have one that I swear was a bucking bronco in a previous life. Always trying to throw me off!

good morning, I got up late. I was up for a couple of hours around midnight. Hip was hurting. when I got back into bed, I slept like a log.
I have a hose reel for the water hose. I never use it.when I stretch out a hose it goes for about 300 feet. I just coil the hose like a snake , ready for the next time.
I had electric cord winders. maybe I should make some more. I'll come up with something.

Lol, maybe use the hose reel for electric cords you don't use!

Oh, it works fine, just the round rungs are very hard on my busted up foot.

Can you put foam insoles in your shoes? Might help.
Hubby has been cutting down trees for 2 days in the new garden area. I am going to need to get rid of a lot of stumps and roots.

Can you put foam insoles in your shoes? Might help.

Nah, don't think that would help...
....and job was of pretty short duration,
I only use that ladder to work on coop windows twice a year.
