yaaay hubby.
my bro called me. said we got 11 inches of the slippery white stih..
I have not gone outside yet. Tomorrow will be soon enough. When it quit snowing, about 4pm, the wind really kicked up..
not going to be very warm tomorrow, but I might plow anyhow.
so instead of plowing today, I made a batch of dinner rolls.

Annie and I had thanksgiving on Tuesday before she went to the hospital on Wed.
Chicken, coleslaw and potato salad.
On TG day DD #1 brought a complete ham dinner out here, with dressing, pies, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Annie had prime rib at the hospital.
I love mushroom gravy..
Annie will not be coming home soon. She is going to a rehab facility for as long as it takes,, maybe up to six weeks.
At the hospital they have an alarm set up in case she tries to get out of bed. DD asked her if she tried. Yes, once.
There is no way I could control her at home..
we have freezing rain at sundown.
then it is supposed to turn over to snow.
6 to 10 inches. I hope they are wrong.

Sorry to hear that Annie's recovery isn't going as smoothly as you'd hoped Jim. :( Have you tried threatening her with your misbehaviour when it's your turn? ;)
It's good that they have kept her if she needs the rehab, especially with the weather you've been having. Hope she feels fighting fit soon.

today Annie is moving to the rehab place.
the therapist told her that it would probably be for about two weeks instead of six..
Aussie, I will keep your suggestion in mind in case I need it..
Cappy, take a break..
I have about 11 more inches of snow to plow from this weekend.. have to do it today so we can get out to go see Annie.
high temp today should be 29F.. brrrrr

Wow! Two weeks sounds a heck of a lot better than six! Be sure to make the rolls too though. :)

what a day,,
I was plowing, when the medi van came to pick Randy up. It got stuck because I had JUST got started.
The driver must have come from no-snow country. Couldn't follow instructions worth a danm ,, we finally got him pushed out by hand. He couldn't let me push with the 4WD without getting permission. A minute before the fan showed up, I blew a hydraulic hose on the loader bucket..
As the van left, Kalib said that he did not stop at the end of the driveway. Said a pick up truck just narrowly missed him.
When we left to go get a hose and some hydraulic fluid, we came to a pick up truck in the ditch just a hundred yards down from our driveway. and in the neighbor's driveway was the medi van. They were waiting for a tow truck and the county police to show up. nobody got hurt and no damage
We picked up the things we needed and then went to see Annie in her new digs.
She was tired , because of the pain meds.
The place is close to Fleet & Farm.
I did some remodeling in the laundry room of that nursing home,, and I built a huge garage/storage building for them , years ago..

Looks like the village finally dropped of the wood chips they promised several months ago...Squeeee!!!
Was just wishing this morning that I had some more before the real snow starts.
Too bad I can't use the large garden cart(unless I want to remove the snow thrower counter weights that are mounted on the hitch-and I don't really), ohwell, wheel barrow will work!
Long walk(~300') with small loads, kills my foot and knee...but still, good to have on hand.
One load, at left, is 'fresher'....one on right looks older and lots of 'dirt' in it.
I drove by the 'village yard' and it looks like someone dumped a bunch more chips there, might have been what spurred them to finally get rid of some of it.
I stopped in to thank them but the admin didn't know what or when.
