Helpful hints for building coops

She called me just now. says the pain is getting less and less at the incision ..

That's good.
My sister had her hip replaced and said the pain level dropped immediately,
She still had surgical pain to get thru,
but it was much better than the year of pain from the bad hip.

Annie just called me. She sounded very chipper
the surgical pain has subsided a lot already.
of course she is on pain meds, though.
she is happy that she will be allowed to drive as soon as she gets off of the pain meds.
before her surgery the woman she worked for as a home care nurse, was giving her flack about coming back. Now that Annie is not there, they are realizing how much they miss her already. the boss lady came down with the flu. had a hard time finding somebody to fill in for her. (Annie was always willing to fill in). then one other helper quit for a different job.. and another helper took on another job so she cannot take on any more hours ..The people they hire through an agency have historically never worked out. No-shows, lazy, uncaring.
Annie will be off for 6 weeks.
we had thanksgiving on Tuesday...

Maybe it's small of me but I love hearing this. Nothing like doing without a keystone worker to make management appreciate what they have. Go Annie!

Annie called this morning. I told her to try to stay in the hospital another day. I don't have this frozen clumpy snow cleaned up yet. I really don't think she could walk from the car to the ramp in her condition. besides, they have better pain meds up there. all she would have here is Tylenol.
she has therapy scheduled for this morning.
I told her to f$#% it up so they keep her there..

I used a transport chair for my mom. A light weight fold up wheelchair
Glad she is doing well

I think you're smart there. I'd be nervous about the snow too.

Hi all,
Annie is still in the hospital. She is having trouble walking. Might not be coming home tomorrow, yet, either.
When they were reaming out the bone to fit the peg in, a piece of bone chipped off..they put a wire around the bone so it would not crack, for the next six weeks she cannot put any weight on that leg. she has to tip toe with the repaired foot, and hop past with the other foot. she is not too athletic, I guess..
she says when she stands up, she has quite a bit of pain.
Like I said, she is better off there than at home..
I got all the fluids checked and filled on Ollie. I plowed the driveway. I think I will put the back blade on, I need more weight on the back tires..

We did. ham and chicken and all the side dishes. 6 pies to choose from..

Looks like hospital is the best place for her. I hope her pain is subsiding.
