I am not hoarding coops, those are just to house my really big chicken collection!
Today I cleaned, sprayed, and put fresh shavings in the packing crate coop.
Tonight after I made lasagna from scratch, I screwed the door in place and also attached the run wall to the hoop coop and a tree on the other side. I need to add two feet onto the wall, so it will be even with the ten foot dog run panel. Those panels won't take long to hook on. But naturally, it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Cleaned out the brooder/shower and coop. Weather was lovely so opened the pop door and our 3 week olds came out and just now they had gone back into the coop. I am betting they'll teach the new babies the same thing.

Think the 3 week olds will accept the 5 day olds without doing the integration (see no touch) thing?

Can't wait to see the completed project Jim.

Might depend on space.
Give it a try but have plan b ready.

Just banded the big kids so they have something else to worry about too. Thanks guys, I have a dog kennel and a big rabbit cage so we'll have our bases covered.

Boots, that makes two of us who would like to see the finished job ..
still cool and windy today. I won't be playing carpenter.
I want to free up the electric motor on the cement mixer. no matter where I store it, the humidity gets to the bearing and it seizes. I am trying to figure a way to get some white lithium grease into the bearing without tearing the whole motor apart..
In fact, when I get this post finished, I am going on youtube to see what I can learn about it..
On the old motors they had a hole where one could drop some oil into.. with these newer motors there are sealed bearings.. so oil doesn't help any.
