Helpful hints for building coops

I have a Cub Cadet rider that I bought a couple of years ago because I figured that my Husqvarna zero turn wasn't going to last too much longer.

My JD 216 Garden Tractor is a 1987 model....the deck is older.
Started with a 1979 214, rebuilt the engine and replaced/repaired a plethora of parts.

Nice tractor Aart. I used to mow a lawn for a woman who has one like that.. plenty of power. She had a septic mound the tractor would climb right up and over..
Nephew Dan came today and we went until we ran out of roofing. it is on order. supposed to be in next Tuesday.

we got this far just as it began to rain.

we went and bought tomato and pepper plants to replace the ones that froze Monday morning.
DW went with me. my plans for a small garden went out the window. she just has to have an herb garden. I never messed with herbs before. I guess I will have to learn. lemon grass, thyme, basil, oregano,

Exactly.
I don't know the numbers on the transmissions but these little garden tractors are not your current day riding mower.

I spent a good part of the day going to the doctor and such nonsense but I needed something done for my ear infection. Tomorrow I go sell more chicks.

today I am putting on my agriculture hat.
going to try to re-pot the new tomato and pepper plants. If the rain holds off.

I still miss my John Deere mower that we sold along with the house in an interstate move. The Huskvarna we bought last year has steering that's too stiff for my arthritic wrists and won't cut a tight enough circle around the trees even with DH on it.

Once the COVID restrictions lift a little, DH is going to take me up to the historic site where he works so I can try out his zero turn (mowing is a legitimate volunteering opportunity), with the idea that if I like it we'll get one for the new property.

I do the mowing at home because the last thing DH wants to do after spending most of his days mowing at work is to do more mowing. I understand this perfectly because when I was sewing in the factory the last thing I wanted to do at home was sew for myself.

I don't want a new fangled riding mower, can't afford it anyway.
This one also throws snow which is a dire necessity here.

I don't remember the model. Early 2000's. I *think* we moved into that house in 2002 but might not have gotten the mower until 2003.

It was a plain vanilla model that did nothing but mow and tow the lawn sweeper or garden cart behind it but it did what I needed it to do, including cutting the tight circles around the too many trees in the yard.

I liked my Husqvarna zero turn for around trees. I have over 140 trees to mow around.
I could put a wheel against the tree and let 'er spin. I had to do it in segments because I would get dizzy and nausious if I did too many in a row.
rain quit here, still cloudy but warm, 55F.
I should go out and do something , even if it is wrong.
