Thank you very much, it’s definitely taken us a while to figure out what works best. We currently have about 30 hens. We fill the feeder and they usually empty it in 2 days or so.
Had to look up the CLS and those are lovely birds. We have a couple of speckled sussex pullets and I love their personalities.
We do ignore them, which kind of makes me sad because when we first moved in here they were friendly, we were friendly...they'd invite us over to sit in the back yard and have a drink or a toke with them. I thought, gee this is great, neighbors we can be friendly with! But when the chicken run/coop construction began the relationship soured, even though I assured them there'd be no smell...which there isn't. Shoot, the chicks aren't even big enough yet to do a decent sized poop and Boots is out there every day with a rake and PDZ . And the coop is much closer to Boots' bedroom window than it is to their property.

Just make sure they are off set so you don’t just make it into a wind tunnel. Some natural light from a window would be very beneficial too. I personally wouldn’t do the vents on opposite facing walls in such a small coop. I’d make a vent on the long wall and one on the shorter side. I would also make them adjustable for cooler/hotter temps. Adjustable can be as easy as a notched piece of wood to prop the vent cover open. We just cut a piece of our wall out and hinged it so in summer I can open it all the way and hook a fan up in it to circulate air.
No, for light to come in. You can make a pop door for entry and exit.
Good, sometimes they make it through the winter and sometimes they don't.
