Cappy, I think you did the smart thing by getting young ones. they have no bad habits.
I was ''gifted'' a doe and her offspring doe , both adults. they were wild and not the least bit friendly. I kept them for a couple of months and sold them to a guy who wanted them..

I plan to bottle feed them for a while so they learn to be friendly.

that sounds like a plan.
when I had a sow, I borrowed the neighbor's boar.
maybe you could borrow or rent a billy ?
they are predicting rain for this morning. Nothing so far. It would be nice to have the seeds watered in right away.
On Tuesday we are supposed to get the influence from the storm in the Gulf. Then they are saying up to 3". that would be OK because the seeds are in shallow trenches and there is good drainage in that garden.

Radar shows quite the system just north of you this morning, you might get dinged yet.
Was supposed to be sunny today here, not.

4 week old chicks roosting like the big birds,
that's Mama below them instead of above them.
They've been up there for about a week but cuddling with Mama.

those kids grow so fast, before you know it they are out of the nest..
Aart, we did get in on the tail end of the storm. no thunder or wind. just a light rain for awhile. by 1PM the sun is shining. perfect for starting the seeds..
We don't get much for TV weather reports on the weekends. didn't see any radar except for the projected one on Friday.
Of course the TV stations can broadcast how great their weather coverage is, about six times a day, though.

Oh, I rarely watch the news/weather on TV.
Best place to see radar is weather dot com.
Radar in motion, one hour past and a few hours in the future.
